Privacy Policy

Hanamaru Kibun Holdings Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") shall comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter referred to as the "APPI") and shall strive for the proper handling and protection of customers' personal information in accordance with the following Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy").

Article 1 (Definition of Personal Information) In this Policy, "personal information" shall mean personal information as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the APPI, which is information about a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, or other description contained in such information (including such information as will allow easy reference to other information and will thereby enable the identification of the specific individual), 1 or information containing an individual identification code.  

Article 2 (Purpose of Use of Personal Information) The Company shall use customers' personal information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and operate the Company's products and services.

  • To respond to inquiries, consultations, quotation requests, etc., from customers.

  • To provide information on products, services, campaigns, etc. (including the sending of email newsletters).

  • For the shipment of products and for billing and payment processing.

  • For customer identity verification and authentication.

  • For conducting surveys and analysis to improve the Company's services.

  • For recruitment activities and labor management of employees.

  • For purposes incidental to the above purposes of use.

Article 3 (Changes to the Purpose of Use) The Company may change the purpose of use of personal information within a scope reasonably deemed to be relevant, and in the event of a change, shall notify the individual or publicly announce it.

Article 4 (Proper Acquisition of Personal Information) The Company shall acquire personal information properly and not through false or other illicit means.

Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties) The Company shall not provide personal information to a third party without obtaining the prior consent of the individual, except in the following cases:

  1. When required by laws and regulations.

  2. When it is necessary for the protection of a person's life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual.

  3. When it is particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound growth of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual.

  4. When it is necessary to cooperate with a state organ, a local government, or an individual or entity entrusted by one in executing the affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the consent of the individual is likely to impede the execution of the said affairs.

  5. When the Company entrusts the handling of personal information, in whole or in part, to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use (in such cases, the Company shall exercise necessary and appropriate supervision over the entrusted party).

  6. When personal information is provided as a result of the succession of business in a merger or otherwise.

Article 6 (Security Management Measures) The Company shall take necessary and appropriate organizational, human, physical, and technical measures for the security management of personal information, including the prevention of leakage, loss, or damage of the personal information it handles.

Article 7 (Disclosure, Correction, Suspension of Use, etc. of Personal Information) When an individual requests the disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, or erasure (hereinafter referred to as "Disclosure, etc.") of their own personal information, the Company shall, after verifying the identity of the individual, respond without delay in accordance with the provisions of the APPI. However, if disclosure falls under any of the following cases, the Company may decide not to disclose all or part of the information. If a decision is made not to disclose, the Company shall notify the individual to that effect without delay.

  1. If disclosure is likely to harm the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the individual or a third party.

  2. If disclosure is likely to seriously impede the proper execution of the Company's business.

  3. If disclosure would violate other laws and regulations.

Article 8 (Use of Cookies, etc.) The Company's website may use Cookies and similar technologies to improve customer convenience and to analyze site usage. Cookies are recorded on your computer but do not contain any information that personally identifies you. You can disable the Cookie function by changing your browser settings, but as a result, some or all of the services on the website may become unavailable.

Article 9 (Changes to the Privacy Policy) The Company may revise the content of this Policy in response to legislative amendments or as otherwise necessary. When this Policy is revised, it will be posted on the Company's website.
